Christmas In August!

I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner! That means the Twins 1st Birthday is coming too... OH.MY.GOSH! I've already started daydreaming of waking up Christmas morning, sitting in front of the tree watching W & W play with all the empty boxes, instead of their toys! hahaha!!! I know this Christmas won't be as fun as the years to come, but I am soooo looking forward to it anyway!
Last Christmas was really weird for us. We had one week old newborns, NO sleep, feeding around the clock, needless to say I was not in the Christmas Spirit!
I am getting so excited to get our tree out and put ornaments (half way up so the tots don't mess with them), and decorate the house with tacky trinkets, just like my mom did! Hell, I might even pull out some tinsel next year! HA!
Since Wyatt & Whitley won't really need too much this year, we won't be going too crazy with gifts, but I do have a few things in mind that I for sure want to get them...

Radio Flyer Wagon For Two!

How cute, right? This will be perfect for Mardi Gras time, Arts & Crafts, strolls on the compound, or going to the beach!

Activity Table

They have already begun pulling up on things, so I think this will be a great toy in a couple months!

Um, yes. Whitley some how made her way over to the fireplace while I was making my bed and putting away laundry! When I came out, she had sut all over her!!! This picture was AFTER I half-way cleaned her up! hahahaha!!! Can't leave them alone for a second these days!

Fun Facts!

We are approaching Wyatt & Whitley being EIGHT MONTHS OLD next week, I cannot believe it! They have grown so much in the past few months, and now when I look at their newborn pictures, I don't even remember them that little!

I used to be able to hold them both at the same time, in one arm! Gah... hard to believe they ever held still... Now if I attempt to hold them both at the same time, one is pushing the other, pulling on my earrings, or trying to rip my shirt off! Boy, have the times changed from when they would just lay still and sleep most of the day! Here are a few fun facts about my Big Boy & Big Girl!

Whitley Facts

She is the best sleeper! Even if she is sick, or not feeling very well, she still usually sleeps all night long!

When she eats, just about every bite she humms, or says "UUUMMM!!!", it's the cutest thing ever!!!!

She whispers her favorite word a lot!!! "Bababababa"

She is usually the 1st to wake up in the morning. She will lay in the Pack-n-Play and just "talk" patiently until I come get her.

She is very sensitive. When Wyatt steals a toy from her, she looks around at who ever saw it, and then drops her head into her neck and just cries. It's so adorable.

She is the closest to crawling!

She lights up when she sees her Daddy come home from work!

She will NOT let you sit her down on her butt, she stiffens up her legs, and you have to force her to bend at the waste to sit! hahaha!!! She cracks me up! She loves to stand!

Wyatt Facts

It's a rare occassion if Wyatt sleeps all night. The child does not like to sleep. Period.

Has the BEST laugh! He will crack up at the smallest things, like if you make a funny noise, or play peek-a-boo!

Even though Whitley will more than likely crawl before Wyatt, he is the most mobile. He rolls anywhere he wants to go. If you place a toy infront of him, instead of scooting to it, he will pivit himself so he's able to roll to it. haha!!!

We think he is allergic to sweet peas! Everytime he has them, he breaks out in a rash!

If you already aren't aware, Wyatt is very impatient. He's the total opposite of Whitley in this area. He does not like to wait for much of anything, espically food! He will throw a temper tantrum and as soon as the spoon hits his lips, he is all smiles!

He is a Mommy's Boy FOR SURE!

They both are eating a lot of food these days! They eat just like an adult, pretty much, except it's baby food! They eat a jar each of a breakfast food, such as Apples & Cinnimon with Oatmeal & a bottle. For lunch they will have a jar each of a veggie & a fruit AND a bottle. About Mid-Day, they have a little snack of yogurt & a cookie. I feed them dinner when I get home around 5:30pm, and they get a cereal bottle when they go to bed at 7pm. They are doing so well eating solids now, I'm so proud! Their favorite meal is probably Sweet Potatoes & Corn, and their favorite fruit, Apples or Bananas!

So, thats the run down on the W's! I'll be sure to post some 8 months pics next week!!! Here are a couuple pics I snapped last night after they fell asleep in their cribs...

Before You Were Here

Before you were conceived I wanted you.

Before you were born, I loved you.

Before you were here an hour, I would die for you.

This is the miracle of life.

I can still remember clearly the first time we became pregnant. I rushed to the Dollar General to get a gift bag to put the pregnancy test in for Frog. I even bought a card and wrote something on the lines of how proud I was to be pregnant with our very own baby. I remember him walking in the door and the excitement we both had in our hearts. I remember sending my Mom & Dad flowers with baby trinkets on them, surprising them with the news! ... I also remember even more clearly, the day we lost that pregnancy. Words can't explain the hurt a couple goes through, so I won't even try.

We became pregnant again, and lost another.

I think of those days often, as I now share my life with 2 of the most beautiful 7 month old babies I've ever laid my eyes on. Not because I want to feel sad, but because I want to remember what it was like to want something so bad, and to finally have my prayers answered. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't look back, and recall our efforts to get these children. I don't want to ever forget the feelings of sorrow, helplessness, and grief that we once lived and breathed.

Of course, I wish like a lot of other people that I could have had a pregnancy that wasn't full of worry and concern 99% of the time, but I couldn't deny that I was PREGNANT, and that was enough joy in itself.

I follow a few infertility blogs, and I feel for these couples who have been trying for 3 and 5 years to conceive, and I thank my lucky stars that God gave us Wyatt & Whitley. I don't think I'll ever understand why some of us have to go through so much heartache to bring a child into the world to love, when it's so easy for others. I know that if I were given twins that 1st pregnancy, there is NO way I would have cherished it the way I would have after our losses. That is my reason for why it happened to me, I believe.

At night when I am saying my prayers silently in my bed, I thank God every night for the blessings He's given me in my life. My twins, husband, family & friends. I also pray for those out there that are struggling with infertility. That it is as painless as possible and that you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is coming. Please know that you are not alone, and that I as well as many others have been right where you are.

Now that I have my Gifts from Above, I can rest peacefully each night knowing I must have done something right to receive such a blessing! I love you, Wyatt & Whitley with my whole heart. Love, Mommy.

Remember Teddy Ruxpin?

I got out my old Teddy Ruxpin the other night- Wyatt & Whitley LOVED him! I wish I had the tapes that go with him, but over the years, I've lost all of them! I seriously doubt he would even work considering when I was little I fed him water and God knows what else! hahaha!!! It's so neat to see them playing with a toy I used to be IN LOVE with though!
When I woke them up this morning, they were talking and playing with each other! Video below of the action! Hope it's not too dark!
My lil' Cheese Ball!

He was practically laying on her! HA!

Look at all Wyatt's hair!!!!
