We had an absolute BLAST! As you know, it was a big suprise for my dad! Terri did an awesome job of keeping him in the dark, too! The weather was perfect- mid-to-upper 80's & clear blue skies!

Seems like yesterday...

Yes, it seems like yesterday that I was pregnant. It's been over a year since we found out were were expecting twins, and now they've almost been here a year! I know I keep saying "I can't believe they are about to be a year old!!!" but I really can't believe it!!!!!! hahaha!!!! I just looked at these pictures for the first time in a while and I can't help but grin when I look thru them.... This weekend coming up will be a year ago that we had our big baby shower, and my dad and Terri came down too! Time sure is flying and I just wish it would slow down enough for me to catch my breath! They are growing like rag-weeds, and I just know they will be walking any week now! Anyway, just wanted to travel down memory lane today, hope everyone has a great weekend! WAR EAGLE!!!

10 Months (or) 304 Days!

I cannot believe Wyatt and Whitley are about to be TEN MONTHS OLD on Saturday! The days are blowing by, and I can't stop each day from passing so damn fast!!! They are on the move constantly and there is no stopping them!

From the time their sleepy eyes wake, they are full of energy and ideas! I usually let them play in their pack-n-play in my room for a few mintues while I make my bed and open the blinds. By the time I've put the last pillow on my bed they are screaming to get out, pulling up and trying to scale the side of the pack-n-play! hahahaha!!!! Once they are set loose, they usually crawl as fast as they can into my bathroom and play with the knobs on my jet tub, pull the rugs up (I don't know why they have to do this), and slam the cabinets open and shut until I take them one-by-one to their room to get dressed.

They eat breakfast, which usually consists of a couple of the following: Toast, scrambled eggs, pancakes, bananas, oatmeal and some milk.

They still like to take an early morning nap around 9 or 10am, which is fine by me since it allows me to shower and pick up the house a little before we start the day on the weekends.

Lunch is usually served around 11 or noon and this is when I usually experiment with different foods! They like anything they can pick up their self though. Diced ham, crackers, cheese cubes, pasta, fruit etc... Whitley is our "eater" and Wyatt just picks mostly, unless he is really liking what is being served (his taste buds change from day to day).

After lunch we play hard until snack and then dinner!

After dinner we've made it a ritual to get in the stroller and head to Grandma Harrison's house for an hour or so. Me & Frog have a couple beers or wine and relax while the W's play in the grass or in the pack-n-play. They still go to bed at 6:45-7pm, and it's working out great!

They are healthy and happy little (almost) toddlers, and we're sure proud of them!

Change of Plans.

As the Twins First Birthday approaches, I keeping having this awful feeling about our original plans to not have a big celebration since they won't remember it.

It's true, our babies won't remember the party or any of the presents. They also won't remember being rocked to sleep at night, playing peekaboo or the first time they saw a real-live-duck. But just because they won't remember it, doesn't keep me from making each and every day their happiest. Even though the experiences are fleeting their minds, the love and happiness is going to stick with them forever.

So, taking in consideration the balloons, cake and presents will be forgotten we've decided to HAVE A PARTY!!!! I am so excited, too!

Their Birthday falls on a Thursday, so Frog and I will take off work that day and have a Mommy, Daddy, Wyatt & Whitley Day! Possibly go to the park or something fun like that. That night I plan to let them eat a small cupcake after dinner too :) The party will be the following weekend, probably on Sunday. I guess I better get to work on their party, since it's only a couple months away! I still cannot believe we will have ONE YEAR OLDS! Where does the time go?
